Adelaide will see variations in temperature and weather conditions over the coming days, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Meteorology. As we move through the week, the city will see a drop in temperatures after today’s hot high of 37 degrees.
Today, Adelaide remains partly cloudy with a minimal chance of rain. The city experiences winds shifting from east-northeasterly in the morning to south-southeasterly in the late afternoon, ranging from 20 to 30 km/h. Tomorrow, the maximum temperature will decrease to a more comfortable 27 degrees. While the morning might start with a slight chance of a shower and a possible thunderstorm, the day is expected to clear up to full sunshine. Winds will be predominantly southeasterly, shifting to southwesterly as they increase to 25 to 35 km/h.
Sunday will see cooler weather, with a high of only 23 degrees, accompanied by partly cloudy skies. The slight chance of a morning shower remains, and winds will continue from the southwest, calming to a southerly direction in the afternoon.
Looking toward the start of the next week, Monday and Tuesday will both see partly cloudy skies and maximum temperatures of 23 degrees and 29 degrees. This pattern will hold until midweek when temperatures start to climb once again, reaching up to 35 degrees on Wednesday and peaking at 36 degrees on Thursday under sunny skies.
A fire weather warning has been issued for the West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, and Lower Eyre Peninsula due to extreme fire danger. The Bureau of Meteorology warns of hot and dry conditions combined with gusty winds, which increase fire risks significantly. A marine wind warning is also in place for Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent, and Investigator Strait, with strong winds expected today and tomorrow.
A heatwave warning is active for the North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral Districts. This severe heatwave brings with it exceptionally high daytime and overnight temperatures, posing health risks, particularly to vulnerable populations.
