Man (40s) dies in workplace accident in south Dublin as Health and Safety Authority launches investigation

The Health and Safety Authority has launched an investigation after a man in his 40s was killed in a workplace accident in Ringsend, Dublin 4 today.
Emergency services attended the scene of the incident that took place this afternoon in the south Dublin suburb.
The body of the man has been taken to the Dublin City mortuary for a post-mortem, Gardaí said.
“Gardaí and emergency services responded to a fatal workplace accident in Ringsend, Dublin 4 today, Friday 12th December 2025,” a spokesperson said.
“A male (aged in his 40s) was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body was removed to the Dublin City mortuary for a post-mortem examination.”
“The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified and will conduct its own investigation.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Meanwhile, the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) also confirmed the death of the man: “The Health and Safety Authority is aware of the fatal incident and has launched an investigation. As such, no further information is available at this time.”
