Josef Zinnbauer’s JS Kabylie were stunned 1-0 by second division outfit USM El Harrach in the Algerian Cup round of 16 on Friday.
The home team broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time, before Kabylie striker Aymen Mahious saw his penalty get saved in the 75th minute.

Interestingly, USMH is the same team that eliminated the Canaries in the same stage of the competition last season, much to the frustration of the club’s ultras.
As a result, pressure is starting to pile on the former Orlando Pirates boss as his side stretched their winless run to five games across all competitions.
The 14-time Algerian Champions currently sit in eighth place with 15 points from 10 league outings in the Algerian Ligue 1.
In the CAF Champions League, Kabylie are at the bottom of Group B standings with one point and were subjected to a 4-1 drubbing by Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the opening match.

Up next for Zinnbauer and his charges is a clash against Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s ES Setif. However, it’s unclear whether the match will take place this year with the AFCON on the horizon.
