Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are preparing to become first-time parents.
The actress confirmed via her Beau Society newsletter on Friday, December 12, that she is pregnant with her and the Buffalo Bills quarterback’s first baby.
“As I step into my 29th year as a softer, stronger version of myself, I want to appreciate some of my favorite moments from this year, both big and small,” Steinfeld wrote to her readers before listing 29 things she is grateful for. “29. This video…”
The clip featured the actress debuting her baby bump as she wore a sweatshirt with the word “mother.”
Steinfeld and Allen were first linked in May 2023. The couple announced their engagement in November 2024. The following month, they reflected on the relationship milestone.
“I was very nervous. I think I was most nervous about you finding out about the proposal,” Allen recalled in a December 2024 issue of Steinfeld’s “Beau Society” newsletter. “It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you. Then, multiple times throughout the day a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.”
While reflecting on his proposal speech, Allen hinted at his and Steinfeld’s plans to have kids.
“I said, ‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait to start a family with you,’” he shared. “I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please.”
“You were extremely surprised, you said yes and that was all that mattered to me. And the sun was out,” he added. “It feels unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy.”
In March 2025, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Allen and Steinfeld were on the same page about their future family.
“They both are excited about starting a family and want that in the next few years,” the insider revealed at the time. “They both share the same values when it comes to parenting and having kids.”

Two months later, Steinfeld and Allen tied the knot in California in May 2025. The following month, he gushed about his new wife, telling reporters in a press conference that his biggest achievement was “marrying my best friend.”
“She makes everything easier,” he raved. “I don’t really focus on the other stuff, that was the most important decision I’ll make in my life, and I made the right one.”

In a November 2025 interview with Bustle, Steinfeld was just as effusive about her connection with Allen.
“I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world,” she told the outlet. “Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.”
Elsewhere in the interview, when asked whether she wanted to have kids, Steinfeld replied, “Of course.”
