Strictly Come Dancing star Vicky Pattison has shared her family plans during an appearance on the Staying Relevant podcast alongside Pete Wicks. With Vicky and Pete sharing a long-standing friendship, their chat naturally turned to Pete’s thoughts on how Vicky would be as a mother – a topic that left her feeling emotional.

The television personality, who lives in Brentwood, Essex, confided in Pete, revealing she’d already achieved several goals from her 2025 vision board, including opportunities like Strictly and Gogglebox that she felt were beyond her reach.

She added: “I don’t know what next year looks like for me, I do know it’s probably time I start nuturing my personal life a bit more.”

Reflecting on her wedding last year, she described the occasion as “so special”, before adding: “I’m not getting any younger, I think I’m gonna have to look at starting a family, or what that looks like for me.”, reports the Express.

She continued: “I consider myself to already have a family if I’m honest, with the dogs, but whether I have kids or not.” Vicky pondered what this might mean for someone who is “defined a lot by her career”.

The television favourite acknowledged that stepping back from her professional life to concentrate on motherhood was a daunting prospect, though she recognised the need to reach a decision soon. Pete then cautioned Vicky that she might become emotional again before saying: “I have known you for such a long time, and I think you are in a position now where you are in the best stage of your life mentally, you’ve been through so much, you would have always made the best mum ever, but right now, if I could pick anyone to be my mum it would be you.”

Vicky became tearful as Pete continued: “I think you would be fabulous, genuinely.” He expressed his enthusiasm for that chapter of her life.

Previously, Vicky has discussed her choice to preserve her fertility through egg freezing, a procedure she underwent in 2023, saying that whilst the timing wasn’t right for motherhood, she wanted to secure future possibilities for having children.

She revealed at the time, during the early stages of her relationship with now-husband Ercan Ramadan: “I started to want things that I had never wanted before, like a house rather than a flat in London and dogs and a slower pace of life and wanting children came on my radar.

“But, even though I’m in a happy relationship, it is still in its infancy and Ercan is younger than me, he’s not ready either. It was a mutual decision. We are in love but we don’t want that pressure.”
