Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua Hype Trailer Released Ahead of Netflix Fight

Netflix released the official hype trailer for the upcoming boxing match between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua on Wednesday.
The trailer features highlights of Paul and Joshua, along with comments from both boxers. Paul declared, “This is the fight that shuts everyone up,” before Joshua responded, “This is the fight that shuts man down.”
Paul further discussed the fight on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday:
On Dec. 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, Paul will undoubtedly face the toughest challenge of his young boxing career to date.
Since becoming a pro boxer in 2020, Paul has exceeded expectations by posting a 12-1 record, but questions have persisted about his level of competition.
Many of Paul’s wins have come against former MMA fighters, including Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz and Mike Perry.
Paul beat boxer Julio César Chávez Jr. in his most recent bout, though, and he defeated heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson last year, although Tyson was 58 years old at the time of the match and hadn’t competed in a professional fight since 2005.
Joshua is a totally different opponent than any Paul has met before, as he is a two-time heavyweight champion boxer who is still performing at a high level at 36 years of age.
The Brit owns wins over notable names such as Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin, Andy Ruiz Jr. and MMA star Francis Ngannou during his career, and he is 28-4 overall with 25 wins by way of knockout.
Joshua followed up back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk with three straight wins, although he did lose his most recent fight to Daniel Dubois by knockout last year.
Still, Joshua has a huge advantage over Paul since he is five inches taller, far heavier and significantly more experienced in big-time fights.
Per Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports, the fight will be eight rounds in length, both fighters will wear 10-ounce gloves and it will count against their professional records.
It will also be contested in the heavyweight division, which is a step up for Paul, who normally fights as a cruiserweight. Joshua must weigh in at 245 pounds or lighter, though.
Paul has a chance to silence many of his skeptics on Dec. 19, although Joshua figures to enter as a substantial favorite.
