UMD men’s hockey focusing on execution ahead of series with Arizona State

UMD men’s hockey’s sights are set on securing a win against Arizona State on Friday -the team that knocked them out of last years NCHC tournament – but it’ll come down to execution, and a little bit of luck.

“We had three or four chances on our one power play we had, and we just scored, right? It ends up coming down to one shot, right? If you hit your spot, it ends up going in,” said Zam Plante, a Sophomore forward. “The power play looks great. So yeah, I think we just got to keep making our plays, and teams start to change it up. But at the end of the day, it’s can we make more plays than them in that power play?”

Last season the Bulldogs went 1-3-2 against the Sun Devils, losing the last two in the playoffs. Puck drop is set for 7:07pm at AMSOIL Arena on Friday.
