Actress Lindsay Lohan has revealed she is voicing an adult version of Maggie Simpson on The Simpsons.
In a brief teaser released ahead of the episode airing this Sunday, Maggie is heard speaking properly in an aged up scene. Maggie, who is the youngest in the family, rarely speaks and is typically seen sucking on her pacifier. She is usually voiced by Nancy Cartwright, who also lends her voice to several other characters on the show, including Ralph Wiggum, Todd Flanders, and Nelson Muntz.
Lohan, best known for roles in pop culture staples such as Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and The Parent Trap, shared the news on social media, writing: “What a dream come true to be part of this iconic family,” before posting the clip of her voicing Springfield’s famously silent baby.
The long-running animated sitcom airs on FOX and is currently in its 37th season.
