Clarke-Salter back and QPR duo return to training

Julien Stephan has confirmed that Jake Clarke-Salter is set to return to the QPR squad for Saturday’s game at Middlesbrough.
The former Chelsea defender recently returned to action after a long absence but is being eased back, so was rested for midweek games against Blackburn and Birmingham.
Having sat out Tuesday’s dramatic win over Birmingham, he is back in contention to feature against Boro.
Meanwhile, Sam Field and Harvey Vale returned to full training on Friday.
Field suffered a groin injury during the recent defeat at Norwich and it was initially feared he faced a lengthy spell out, but he has responded well to treatment.
“Jake Clarke-Salter will come back,” said head coach Stephan, whose team will head north having won four of their past five matches.
“Sam Field and Harvey Vale trained this morning. It’ll be too short for me to involve them tomorrow, but all is okay for them and they will be ready next week to do a full week.”
Ilias Chair remains sidelined but it is hoped that he too will be able to train next week.
