WASHINGTON (TNND) — Rapper and artist Nicki Minaj on Thursday praised Vice President J.D. Vance, calling him an “assassin” and quick when it comes to debate.
“Nothing brings me joy like the Vance memes & knowing he leaned into it like a boss,” she wrote on X.
“Top Tier Comedy. Character = 100. But make no mistake, Vance is an assassin. Don’t debate him. On anything. Quick as a computer. Maybe quicker.”
There have been viral memes of Vance with an inflated head on X. The vice president has played along with it, and even dressed up as the Internet meme for Halloween.
Earlier this year, Minaj made headlines when she praised the Trump administration for acknowledging the alleged genocide against Christians in Nigeria.
“We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other,” she wrote on X last month. “Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror & it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice. Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”
Vance on Wednesday also showed some appreciation for Minaj by implying he liked her better than other popular rapper Cardi B.
“Nicki{>}Cardi,” he wrote on X.
Minaj responded on X Thursday by writing, “The Vance {>} The Gav Nots.”
The “Gav Nots” was likely referring to Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Eventually, United Nations Ambassador Mike Waltz weighed in by quote tweeting Vance’s post saying, “VP of the Barbs!”
