Report: Jorge Polanco, Mets agree to two-year contract

The 32-year-old had a strong season with the Mariners in 2025, batting .265 with 26 home runs and 78 RBIs in 138 games.
He was a star in the playoffs, hitting two home runs in one game against Detroit Tigers Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal before smacking the walk-off single later in Game 5 to send the Mariners to the ALCS.
A Dominican Republic native, Polanco spent most of his career in Minnesota, playing for the Twins from 2014-2023, and making one all-star game in 2019, before being traded to Seattle in early 2024.
For his career, Polanco slashes .263/.330/.442.
Polanco joins a star-studded Mets infield featuring Francisco Lindor, Jeff McNeil and recently acquired Marcus Semien, who was traded from the Texas Rangers in late November.
