Jurčić: I Fully Recognize Flamengo’s Strength… And I Call on Egyptian Fans to Support Us
Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić of Pyramids spoke about the upcoming match against Brazil’s Flamengo in the Intercontinental Cup.
Pyramids will face Flamengo tomorrow, Saturday, in a match competing for the Challenge Cup title, as well as for qualification to the Intercontinental Cup final, where they will meet Paris Saint-Germain, the European champion.
In the press conference, Jurčić pointed out that Pyramids is a relatively new team, yet they are facing one of the giants of world football, which is a source of pride and increases the players’ desire to continue achieving success until the very end.
He affirmed that he recognizes the strength of Flamengo, which has outstanding players, but he trusts in the strength of his team, Pyramids.
Regarding the absences, the head coach explained that the team is accustomed to facing such circumstances and expressed his hope that the strong spirit will continue against Flamengo. He also confirmed that the situation of the Moroccan player Walid El Karti is solely up to the management.
Jurčić called on the Egyptian audience in Qatar, from all backgrounds, to attend the match to support Pyramids, which represents Egypt and Egyptian football.
