Football Tips: Saturday night’s 7/1 European Multi-Match Bet Builder

Our tipster fancies a crunch Atalanta win on Saturday night!

Saturday night’s European schedule features a couple of eye-catching clashes in Serie A and La Liga as Atalanta host Cagliari and Espanyol go to Getafe.

Atalanta overcame Chelsea in midweek Champions League action, and the hosts will want to roll that momentum on over the festive period, but high-flying Espanyol will not relish a trip to the Coliseum.

Ahead of Saturday’s matches, Paddy Power News football tipster Feargal Brennan has five value picks that add up to a belting Bet Builder.

Atalanta to win
Gianluca Scamacca 2+ shots on target

8pm: Getafe v Espanyol

Atalanta v Cagliari

WHEN: Saturday 13th of December, 19:45
WHERE: Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo.
TV: DAZN

Atalanta to win

We get rolling on Saturday night as Atalanta play host to Cagliari.

Second-half goals from Gianluca Scamacca and Charles De Ketelaere saw Atalanta fight back and claim three points against Enzo Maresca’s team on Tuesday night in Bergamo.

That moved the Italians up to sixth spot in the UCL table, ahead of January’s two games, and gives Raffaele Palladino’s side a strong chance of reaching the knockout stages in 2026.

The focus for the next six weeks will be firmly placed on league matters, and boosting their current mid-table place, starting at home to Cagliari.

Atalanta have won two of their three Serie A outings since Palladino took charge at the start of November, following the departure of Ivan Juric.

Cagliari edged out a 1-0 victory over Roma last weekend, ending a nine-game winless run, but they could struggle against an Atalanta team on the up.

Gianluca Scamacca to have 2+ shots on target

Atalanta don’t score stacks of goals, with just 17 netted from 14 Serie A games this season, but Scamacca’s three makes him their top marksman in league action.

His equaliser against Chelsea brought him up to four in all competitions, with three of those coming as part of the new wave brought in by Palladino’s arrival.

The Italy international enjoyed a brilliant first season back in Serie A, after leaving West Ham ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, with 16 league goals scored, but an ACL injury wrecked his 2024/25 season after just one game.

A goal shout might be a little brave, based on his still low-key numbers, but he’s super keen to get shots off. The 26-year-old averages five per 90 this season – as No.1 Serie A – and he’s registered three or more in three of his last four league appearances, so I’m backing him to test the Cagliari keeper at least twice.

Getafe v Espanyol

WHEN: Saturday 13th of December, 20:00
WHERE: Estadio Coliseum, Madrid.
TV: Disney+

Under 2.5 goals

Moving over to Spain and we have Getafe at home to Espanyol.

A trip to the Estadio Coliseum has become La Liga’s equivalent of a wet Wednesday at Stoke with Jose Bordalas’ team a nightmare to play on their home turf.

Espanyol have been a real success story so far in 2025/26, with eight wins from 15, but only two of those have come away from Catalonia.

They have scored just six away goals from six played, and Getafe have only conceded nine from nine in Madrid, at a perfect average of one each per game on both counts.

Just one of Getafe’s seven home clashes has featured over 2.5 goals scored and they will be confident of another gritty night of defensive resilience.

Borja Mayoral 1+ shots on target

Borja Mayoral remains a solid performer for Getafe, with four goals scored in La Liga this season, and six split across all competitions.

He’s the No.1 marksman for Bordalas and should carry a threat to the Espanyol backline, with 11 starts from their 15 league outings.

The 28-year-old might not manage to get on the scoresheet, but he’s registered one effort on target in each of his last three home games, and should do so again on Saturday night.

Pere Milla 1+ shots on target

Veteran striker Pere Milla is enjoying a strong start to 2025/26 with five league goals scored – bettering his whole season tally from his previous two campaigns with the Catalans.

Similarly to Mayoral, he’s not prolific, and the 33-year-old’s game time is managed carefully, but he also averages one shot on target based on his last three games played.
