The North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team plays the USC Upstate Spartans on Saturday, Dec. 13 (2 p.m., CW Network), at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill.
Sitting at No. 15 in the USA TODAY coaches poll and No. 14 in the AP poll, the Tar Heels (8-1) and Spartans (6-5) are meeting for the first time. This is UNC’s first game following exam week, with three more home matchups scheduled before Christmas.
The Tar Heels are partnering with Wegmans and the UNC Children’s Hospital for a toy drive on Saturday. Donated toys will be available at no cost to families who are spending the holidays in the hospital.

UNC is 6-0 at the Smith Center this season and aiming for its 60th home win under fifth-year coach Hubert Davis. Freshman forward Caleb Wilson and junior center Henri Veesaar have combined to average 35.5 points and 19.8 rebounds per game for the Heels.
