A tarot card reader has forecast that a Strictly Come Dancing celebrity could face elimination this weekend, having begun “to feel the exhaustion of the long, glamorous journey”.

The semi-finals are merely hours away, with Karen Carney, Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke and Amber Davies set to grace the dance floor this evening.

This comes after Lewis Cope’s surprising departure, despite being favoured to triumph but suffering a heartbreaking exit last Sunday.

The current series has witnessed four celebrities withdraw, with Kristian Nairn and Dani Dyer stepping back on medical grounds before the live programmes commenced, whilst Stefan Dennis and La Voix subsequently had to pull out.

Only three famous faces will progress to the final, with another destined to leave the competition this weekend, reports Wales Online.

Astrologer Inbaal Hongiman has now disclosed that the contest remains incredibly close, with any of the quartet capable of claiming victory.

Speaking to psychic platform Tarotoo, Inbaal revealed: “In doing a Tarot reading for the remaining contestants, none of the semi-finalists received much better or much worse cards than any of the other celebs. The playing field is relatively level.

“This suggests that they’ve reached a stage in the competition when anyone could win, because everyone who’s still there has really put their all into the process.

“Their cards indicate the hard work that’s gone into their progress, which is why Wands, the Tarot cards of action, are the true stars of the reading.”

She went on: “With the flamboyant 6 of Wands Tarot card, Amber Davies will give a light-footed and fun final performance. She’s never expected to get to the semi-finals, and feels victorious having lasted for as long as she did.

“Balvinder Sopal gets the powerful Ace of Wands Tarot card, suggesting a strong performance as the competition reaches its end. She’ll be lauded as one of the biggest stars and the most impressive success stories of the season.

“The diligent 10 of Wands Tarot card says that George Clark has already given everything he’s got to the dance floor, and may find the final couple of shows to be too much. He’s starting to feel the exhaustion of the long, glamorous journey.”

Meanwhile, footballer Karen is tipped to triumph, as Inbaal revealed: “Karen Carney gets the Queen of Swords, the only card in the reading which isn’t a Wands card. It says that Karen’s final few moves are tactical, and she could appeal to the judges with more than her dance prowess alone.

“It may be a dance style that she knows to always win, or it could be a tune that the judges are partial to, which helps her win. Karen is focused on winning like none of the others. She really wants that trophy, and she may well get to raise it.”

This follows YouTuber and podcast host George Clarke, who is partnered with newcomer Alexis Warr, confessing he hadn’t anticipated progressing this far in the contest.

He told the BBC : “Coming into this I wasn’t joking when I said I’d never danced.

“I’d go to a club and if I did anything more than a two-step I’d immediately get embarrassed and run to the bar.”

He also turned to social media to express gratitude to supporters following their latest performance, writing: “At the start of this process I (George) had never danced or performed in my life, whilst I feel there is still levels to unlock and I hope we get the opportunity to do so, I’m so happy to be improving and a performance like that 3 months ago would’ve felt impossible.

“As always all your kind words and support means the world to us and (fingers crossed) next week we can come back with a couple dances to put a smile on your face.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.35pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
