Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s free DLC Verso’s Drafts is out now

The free Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 DLC that developer Sandfall Interactive had teased previously is out now in a free update for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. Expedition 33 director Guillaume Broche made the announcement during his game of the year acceptance speech at The Game Awards 2025 (after the game swept eight other awards) and called it the “Thank You Update.”
“Rejoin the Expedition on another journey through the whimsical hideout of a young Verso,” Sandfall’s official description reads. “In a land crafted through joy and innocence, sometimes darkness is uncovered when imagination gets carried away. “
The DLC, called Verso’s Drafts, adds new quests, locations, and quite a bit more. As the name suggests, it takes place in a series of draft pieces made by Verso when he was younger in a world much less dark and dreary than the Continent in the base game. It’s full of color, enemies attack with rainbows, there’s a forest of lollipops, and an honest-to-goodness normal sky. Well, more normal, at least.
Anyway, Verso’s Drafts includes new enemies and bosses to get to grips with and a detailed photo mode that you can use even during battle. Expedition 33‘s photo mode comes with all the usual bits and bobs you’d hope for, like aperture adjustments and filters, so you can prove you didn’t just parry, but parried with style.
