Sol Ruca Reflects On Her 2025 Ahead Of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

2025 has been a great year for Sol Ruca.
With John Cena set to bring his legendary in ring career to an end at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, the focus of the evening will largely be on the future of WWE, with NXT Superstars set to be showcased throughout the night.
One of those NXT talents will be Sol Ruca, who reflected on the year she has had in the build-up to tomorrow night during an interview with Fox News.
“I’m honored and I’m really proud of myself for this past year and just putting myself out there even just to be in this world of professional wrestling. I am a pretty reserved and shy person. So, I feel like I’ve pushed myself a lot this past year and I’m really proud of myself to be in this position and really honored to be a part of it. I’m going to be a part of making history and I feel like this past year has had that common thread, you know, being a double champion and being a speed champion and North American champion and then going for the tag titles with my tag partner and then now being on John Cena’s last show and also him picking me to be a part of Deadline. It’s been a really cool year for me.”

Sol Ruca is set to face former NXT Women’s Champion Bayley at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. tomorrow night. Elsewhere at Saturday Night’s Main Event, NXT Champion Oba Femi will take on WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, while World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will face NXT’s Je’Von Evans and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater.
John Cena, who will face GUNTHER in his final ever match on the show, has recently reiterated that it was his idea to showcase NXT talent on the night of his retirement. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Saturday Night’s Main Event as soon as we hear more.
