Winter weather advisory issued for York County

Bright Lights is back in WellSpan Park
York Revolution’s Bright Nights opens Thursday, Nov. 20 and runs Thursday thru Sunday until Dec. 28.
The National Weather Service at State College has issued a winter weather advisory for York County from Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.
The advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday.
Snow accumulations between 2 and 3 inches are possible, with higher totals possible in some areas, the weather service said.
Plan on slippery road conditions and use caution while traveling, the weather service said. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.
After a mostly cloudy day Saturday with a high of 41 degrees, conditions will deteriorate Saturday night. An 80% chance of snow is possible before midnight through 4 a.m. Sunday. The low temperature will be around 22 degrees.

Sunday’s high temperature will be around 27 degrees, with wind gusts as high as 29 degrees. With the wind chill factored in, the temperature could feel like it is around 11 degrees during the day.
Sunday night’s low will be around 17 degrees. Wind gusts as high as 24 mph are possible. Temperatures could feel below 0 with the wind chill factored in.
Frigid temperatures continue through Tuesday before things warm up with the highs in the 40s and 50s by Wednesday and Thursday possible.

Tuesday: It will be mostly sunny, with a high around 34.
Tuesday night: It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.
Wednesday: It will be partly sunny, with a high near 47.
Wednesday night: It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.
Thursday: There is a 30% chance of rain. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 51.
Thursday night: There is a 50% chance of rain. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 33.
