An NJ Transit bus struck and killed a 66-year-old pedestrian on Tuesday in North Bergen.
Alan Harris was hit at about 6:30 a.m. near the corner of Bergenline Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard East, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said Friday.
The bus was on the No. 84 line, traveling from Jersey City to North Bergen when the crash occurred.
The driver stopped at the scene. Harris, of Hackensack, died of his injuries the following day at an area hospital.
The incident remains under investigation. NJ Transit declined to comment.
