Jasprit Bumrah will miss the third T20I between India and South Africa at Dharamshala due to personal reasons. Bumrah’s absence was revealed by India captain Suryakumar Yadav at the toss ahead of the match.
Bumrah played the first two matches of the series, finishing with figures of 2/17 and 0/45 in the games.
A statement from the BCCI said, “Jasprit Bumrah has gone back home for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the game. An update on him joining the squad for the remaining matches will be provided in due course.”
Harshit Rana came into the Indian side for Bumrah as one of two changes, with Kuldeep Yadav replacing Axar Patel due to illness as well as India opted to bowl first.
The 32-year-old took his 100th T20I wicket in the first T20I in Cuttack, dismissing Dewald Brevis to reach the milestone.
