📊 Hammers ace reaches new heights as West Ham strike again

It’s an all-action first half at London Stadium as West Ham are putting in one of their best performances of the season, with the Hammers leading Aston Villa 2-1.

An extremely early hit from Mateus Fernandes was temporarily cancelled out by an own goal from club colleague Kosnstantinos Mavropanos, which may have left some of the hometown faithful nervous of being hit with yet another poor result.

But just like so many times before, captain and talisman Jarrod Bowen popped up in a moment of need while wearing the armband, re-establishing West Ham’s one-goal cushion in the 24th minute.

His finish from inside the box was his fifth of the league campaign, but more impressively, his 100th goal contribution for the Hammers since arriving from Hull City in 2020.

What a way to make your historic marker count.
