Alec Pierce start or sit: Week 15 fantasy football advice

Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season will continue on this afternoon with a battle of playoff contenders as the Indianapolis Colts will visit the Seattle Seahawks at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
Last Sunday was a total disaster for the Colts as not only did they lose complete control of the AFC South in a 36-19 loss to the Jaguars, they also lost starting quarterback Daniel Jones for the year with a torn Achilles. Wide receiver Alec Pierce is one of the figures that they’ll have to lean on if they want to keep their fading playoff hopes alive and that will especially be the case in this tough road matchup this afternoon.
Below, we’ll go over Pierce’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 15.
Fantasy Football analysis: Colts WR Alec Pierce
Pierce still had a solid day even with Jones’ injury in last week’s loss to the Jaguars, catching five of eight targets for 80 receiving yards in the road setback. Pierce leads the Colts in receiving heading into Week 15 and continues to prove himself as true home-run hitter on the field by leading the league with 20.2 yards per catch as well as leading all receiver targets in ADOT.
The biggest story in the NFL this week is the Colts pulling 44-year-old Philip Rivers out of retirement in a desperation move after Jones’ Achilles tear. The veteran QB is suiting up in an NFL game for the first time since 2020 and we’ll see if he can lean on a weapon like Pierce right out the gate.
Sit. You should be highly skeptical of a 44-year-old QB having any kind of positive impact in this situation, let alone being able to get the ball downfield to a receiver who almost exclusively makes explosive plays. I’d imagine we’ll see an extreme run-heavy gameplan for the Colts offense this afternoon, meaning not many opportunities for Pierce to shine.
