ESPN speculates Vance Joseph, Davis Webb could leave Broncos for same team

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph is widely considered one of the top head coach candidates for the 2026 hiring cycle, and he might not be the only coach Denver could lose in the offseason.

Davis Webb, Denver’s offensive pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach, is also expected to draw interest from other clubs in 2026 (and he could be a head coach candidate himself someday down the road). Earlier this week, ESPN insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano speculated that Joseph and Webb could leave as a package deal in 2026.

From their ESPN.com story published on Wednesday:

We talked about Vance Joseph’s head coach candidacy earlier, and a defensive-minded head coach candidate is always going to have to sell a team on his choice of offensive coordinator. To that end, keep an eye on Broncos QBs coach Davis Webb, who’s viewed as a strong coaching prospect in many circles and could be a candidate to go with Joseph as offensive coordinator if Joseph gets a head coach job this cycle.

Fowler and Graziano later seemed to hint that Joseph and Webb could be a potential fit for the New York Giants, who will be seeking a new head coach in 2026 after firing Brian Daboll.

For now, Joseph and Webb are focused on Denver’s 2025 campaign, but it’s possible that this could be their final season with the Broncos. Sean Payton lost three coaches to other clubs last offseason, and it appears that trend might continue in 2026.
