Is it Sunday already? I feel like I was just writing about how it was Sunday and time to be lazy and just lounge around watching movies all day, but I wouldn’t actually do that because I’d be too busy with work and projects and chores and responsibilities. Has it already been a week since then? What a blur. In any case, we have some words to uncover, and they’re pretty delicious. This Strands is making me hungry. Let’s solve it, shall we?

How To Play Strands

Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.

Hint: Each of the words (other than the spangram) goes with another word. This is a fun one, since each “pairing” has its own distinct color. Each set of words corresponds with a TV show and a color.

Today’s Strands Breakdown

Such a fun, clever Strands puzzle today! I knew we were in for a treat the moment I plugged in GREEN and it was green, and then BLUE and it was blue. In fact, I found all the colors first, and COLORTV — the spangram — before I found the paired words below. I guess it just worked out that way.
