Larry David & Jerry Seinfeld Finally Reunite In First Look At New Curb Your Enthusiasm Follow-Up Series

Curb Your Enthusiasm may be over, but creator and star Larry David is returning with a brand-new limited comedy series, and HBO’s first look includes a reunion with Jerry Seinfeld. David is most famous for co-creating Seinfeld and then going on to create and star in his own show.

Curb Your Enthusiasm aired for 12 seasons from 2000 to 2024 on HBO. Seinfeld guest-starred in seven episodes and shared scenes with David.

HBO released a two-minute preview of its 2026 slate of TV shows, including David’s new comedy show, which is currently untitled and has no premiere date yet. The teaser for his show may have lasted only five seconds, but it was long enough to give a taste of his reunion with Seinfeld.

Starting at the 54-second mark, David and Seinfeld look at each other while wearing historical outfits. The next scene shows David wearing a bowler hat and holding up a large bowl as he excitedly proclaims, “I got a really good feeling about this.” The final shot reveals David riding a horse and using a riding whip. Take a look at the preview below:

David’s upcoming HBO series will be a six-episode sketch comedy show all about American history. He’s re-teaming with Curb Your Enthusiasm showrunner and executive producer Jeff Schaffer as co-writers and executive producers this time around. Schaffer, who directed several episodes of Curb, will also direct the new HBO show.

Several other notable names are also associated with the project: Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground Productions, is on board as a producing partner.

Aside from Seinfeld, other Curb Your Enthusiasm stars are expected to stop by and appear in David’s sketch comedy show, though no casting announcements have been revealed just yet.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm cast included Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, J. B. Smoove, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson, Wanda Sykes, Richard Kind, and Kaitlin Olson, along with many guest stars.

Curb Your Enthusiasm also landed several celebrity guest stars like Mary Steenburgen, Martin Scorsese, Lucy Liu, Ben Stiller, Rosie O’Donnell, Rob Reiner, Seth Rogen, George Lopez, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Vince Vaughn, Catherine O’Hara, Melissa McCarthy, and Allison Janney.

Hines hasn’t spoken to David since her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., started working in the Trump Administration, so it’s very unlikely that she will make an appearance. Aside from her and Lewis, who passed away in 2024, it wouldn’t be surprising to see any of the other cast members pop up on David’s new show.

As far as the theme of the series goes, all that has been revealed so far is that it revolves around American history. Schaffer previously revealed that the characters David will be playing were not major figures in history; if anything, they were forgotten or ignored people.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was nominated for numerous awards during its run on HBO and won two Emmys and one Golden Globe. Only time will tell if David’s next show can find similar success. Regardless, audiences will surely love seeing David and the Seinfeld cast member reunite on HBO in 2026.
