Former councillor Sean McKiernan sentenced to 3 years and 9 months imprisonment with the last 12 months suspended for 12 months for theft of money from Navan Mental Health Housing Association. On release from prison he is to remain under supervision from the Probation Service. The amount stolen from the charity was €172, 120 and the defendant was unable to offer any compensation in court.
