Manchester United are reportedly interested in Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams. The £40million-rated American is set to take on Ruben Amorim’s side on Monday night at Old Trafford.
United have been linked with several Premier League midfielders since the summer as they look to strengthen a weak spot in their squad. Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Brighton’s Carlos Baleba have been among the names most mentioned, although their hefty price tags may prove to be a stumbling block.
Therefore, Adams may be of greater consideration at M16 ahead of the January transfer window. The Daily Mail report that the 26-year-old has ‘cropped up in conversations’ over United’s potential midfield targets in January or next summer.
Adams has previously shared his admiration for playing at the Theatre of Dreams. He said: “It’s just a special occasion.
“This is what you grow up watching, whether you’re a fan or not. A fan of Manchester United walking into Old Trafford will change your perspective on everything.

“I played against Manchester United at Old Trafford during Covid with RB Leipzig. That was the first time I walked into Old Trafford and I was like, my dream is really to play in the Premier League because this is what it’s about right here.
“Now being able to go back and play there multiple times and have good results, especially makes it a little bit better. So yeah, I always get excited to play against United.”
Adams’ potential arrival at the Reds could potentially push academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo closer to the exit door. The 20-year-old has struggled for game time under the Portuguese this season and has not started a single Premier League game.

United boss Ruben Amorim has told Mainoo to knock on his door and tell him if he wants to leave in January.
“The team comes first and if Kobbie comes to me and talks to me, I will talk to him,” he said.
“I’m not going to say what I’m going to say to Kobbie but I will be really pleased if Kobbie comes to talk to me about that. I just want my players happy and I understand that every individual has their goals.
“The frustration doesn’t help anybody. But again, the focus is on this game and we will see if that happens.
“I had some conversations with him, especially last year, and with other players but about that subject, no. I didn’t speak with him.”
