EastEnders confirms three game-changing Zoe bombshells in early iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow for Monday’s episode (15 December), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has finally confirmed three popular theories about Zoe Slater and her adopted child – turning the entire storyline on its head. It’s an episode of huge revelations, as mysterious Jasmine Fisher’s identity is also revealed for the first time…
With Zoe no closer to figuring out the identity of her stalker, Jean’s mental health has declined as a result of their feud. Lily has been left to take care of everything, and in today’s episode Kat and Alfie realised that something was seriously wrong.
The pair were horrified to find Jean in a vulnerable state and the house in a complete mess, and Lily was forced to admit that things had got out of hand with her nan.
Kat was furious when Jean admitted it was her who made the threatening message to Zoe out of the Christmas lights. But she realised that Jean was unwell, so in an emotional scene, Kat promised to stand by her.

When Kat told Zoe that Jean was responsible, Zoe wasn’t angry and instead empathised about the pain of missing a child, but she refused to return to the pub.
Kat asked Anthony for help with Jean, and he ordered an emergency mental health assessment. Talk turned to Zoe and her missing son, and Anthony agreed to look at medical records to further the investigation.
Anthony blackmailed a medical secretary into finding records of any twins abandoned at the hospital in the mid-noughties, and she reluctantly agreed.

This brought up Zoe’s file from 2006, and Anthony made two big discoveries. Not only did he realise that the dates mean he is the father of Zoe’s twins, but he also found out that the baby girl was resuscitated after Zoe fled the hospital and she never actually died.
Meanwhile, Jasmine returned to the Square to ask Oscar for help. But when the Beales discovered that Jasmine was back, Cindy was furious and Ian called the police.
Jasmine was taken in for questioning for assaulting Cindy and was asked about being related to the Fords. But Jasmine denied any connection and instead told the detectives that she was adopted.

“I came to Walford to find my biological mother,” Jasmine said, unfolding a newspaper cutting from earlier this year. “That’s her. Zoe Slater.”
Will Anthony tell Zoe that her daughter is alive – and could it be Jasmine who has been terrorising her biological mum?
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
