IPL auction: From Auqib Nabi to Krains Fuletra – Five uncapped Indians who could draw big bids

South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock has been added late to the final list. Initially, 1,390 players had registered for the auction. This number was reduced to 1,005 before 350 players were shortlisted. The 10 franchises will bid for 77 slots, including 31 overseas positions, ahead of the 19th edition of the IPL.The auction will start with Indian batters Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan, both with a base price of Rs 75 lakh. Shaw played regularly in the IPL between 2018 and 2024 but went unsold last season. Sarfaraz has not played in the league since 2021. The auction list also features Australia’s Cameron Green and Jake Fraser-McGurk, New Zealand batter Devon Conway, and South Africa’s David Miller. All four have set a base price of Rs 2 crore.

With limited budgets for most teams and several slots to fill at the IPL 2026 mini auction, Indian uncapped players are expected to draw interest. Here are five such players who could attract attention.Prashant VeerPrashant has represented Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the under-23 one-day knockouts, travelling between Kolkata and Mumbai. He is a left-handed batter and orthodox spin bowler. With a base price of Rs 30 lakh, the 20-year-old could attract significant bids.Auqib NabiAuqib Nabi (registered as Auqib Dar) is a fast bowler from Jammu & Kashmir who has improved his death-over skills. He took 15 wickets in seven matches in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at an economy rate under eight. He has previously worked as a net bowler for Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad.Krains FuletraKrains Fuletra is a left-arm wristspinner who has played two T20 matches for Saurashtra. He was picked as a net bowler by Sunrisers Hyderabad last season and was close to joining the squad as a replacement for Adam Zampa but was not registered for the auction at that time. Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat had recommended him to the franchise. Ravi SinghRavi Singh, a 24-year-old left-handed wicketkeeper-batter, has emerged as a T20 player for Railways. His match-winning innings against Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy league stage was watched by scouts. With a base price of Rs 30 lakh, he is considered a backup option with finishing ability and wicketkeeping skills.Kartik SharmaKartik Sharma, 19, is a lower-order batter and finisher known for hitting big sixes. He has scored 334 runs in 12 T20 matches at a strike rate of 164, hitting 28 sixes. Clips of his hitting have been shared widely, earning attention from players including Kevin Pietersen and R Ashwin. His performances have helped Rajasthan reach the knockouts of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, winning six of seven matches.
