Tennessee Lottery players win millions in prizes over past week

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Lottery players in Tennessee won more than $21 million dollars in prizes over the past week.

The winners included one person who won $2 million playing the instant-ticket game, Mega Millionaire Jumbo Bucks.

The player who won that prize bought the winning ticket in Knoxville.

Tennessee Lottery officials announced those prize winners as excitement builds for Monday’s Powerball jackpot drawing, which stands at $1.1 billion.

The $1.1 billion jackpot is the sixth largest in Powerball Lottery history with a cash value of $503.4 million. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

Monday’s Powerball drawing will be the 43rd in the current jackpot run, setting a game record for most consecutive drawings in a single jackpot cycle. The Powerball jackpot was last won on Sept. 6 by two tickets in Missouri and Texas that split a $1.787 billion prize.
