Playing on home ice at Chatham Memorial Arena, the U12 Kent Cobras won the 12A division final Sunday at the Chatham Regional Silver Stick Tournament.
The Cobras U12 team defeated the Tecumseh Eagles 2-0 in the final to earn a berth at the International Silver Stick championship Jan. 15-18 in lovely Newmarket.
The Cobras beat the Talbot Trail Trailblazers 3-2 in the semifinal to move on to the final game. They went 3-0 in the round robin, beating Tecumseh, Elgin Thames and Hespeler. The Cobras scored 16 goals in the round robin while only allowing two.
