Jets finally cutting $44 million free-agent bust Allen Lazard

Allen Lazard’s Jets career has finally ended.

Gang Green is releasing the veteran receiver, 30, toward the end of his third season with the team after signing one of the worst free-agent contracts in recent team history, The Post’s Brian Costello confirmed.

The separation is being described as a mutual agreement, he further reported.

Lazard tallied 70 catches for 911 yards and eight touchdowns in 36 games after signing a four-year, $44 million contract ahead of the 2023 season.

He notched just 10 catches for 70 yards and one score in 10 contests this year.

It’s possible he could follow close buddy and ex-Jet quarterback Aaron Rodgers to Pittsburgh in hopes of making the playoffs with the AFC North leaders.

More to come on this developing story…
