Tina O’Brien, Danny Miller and Claire Sweeney unite ahead of Corridale crossover

AHEAD of the highly-anticipated Corriedale crossover, soap stars swapped the cobbles and the village for the red carpet, looking worlds away from their on-screen characters.

Among those turning heads were Tina O’Brien, Claire Sweeney and Emmerdale’s Danny Miller – who will all be featuring in the one-off hour-long extravaganza.

The crossover, which is being dubbed Corriedale, will see characters from both soaps involved in a catastrophic accident – leaving several lives hanging in the balance.

The premiere for the future episode took place in Bradford this week bringing together the leading stars of both soaps for a star-studded red carpet event

She arrived on the carpet alongside her co-star James Cartwright and the pair were all smiles as they posed together.

SOAP BACKLASH

Corrie fans left convinced huge character will die in Corriedale crossover

She styled her look with a matching blazer adding a red lip and wearing her long blonde locks loose.

Her Corrie co-star Tina O’Brien (Sarah Platt) looked equally glam in a black mini dress also adorned with gold buttons which she paired with a pair of classic black heels.

She beamed as she posed on the carpet later joining her fellow soap stars in a sweet group snap featuring fan favourite characters from the two TV titans.

Tina alongside Sydney Martin, Emma Atkins, Ryan Hawley, Danny Miller, and Jack P Shepherd came together ahead of the crossover storyline, which will see them all star.

Emmerdale actor Danny was snapped with his on-screen love interest Ryan – the pair play Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden on the ITV soap.

They both looked dapper with Danny opting for a grey ensemble whilst Ryan donned a pair of jeans and a black jacket, both posing side by side.

The sensational show special dropped its trailer earlier this week and it showed that the much-loved soaps have gone all out.

The episode will showcase a spectacular stunt that could have far-reaching consequences for everyone involved.

A multi-vehicle pile-up is at the centre of the action that sees Emmerdale and Weatherfield collide.

Screams are heard calling for help as emergency services arrive on the scene.

The soaps have given clues about what brings the characters of both soaps together.

John Sugden, the Emmerdale serial killer, has featured in wanted posters in Weatherfield police station.

And towards the end of November, Belle Dingle dropped a number of hints that she was the wedding planner organising Debbie Webster’s Christmas Day nuptials.

ITV’s teaser says: “CORRIEDALE is just the start of the drama as the aftermath of the crash gives rise to fear, murderous intent, death, destruction, closely-guarded secrets, and lies.

“Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again!”

ITV have confirmed that Corriedale will air on Monday, January 5 at 8pm.
