Like the now-famous tobacco seller, Ahmed al-Ahmed, the courageous, selfless stories of those who risked, and lost, their lives at Bondi are beginning to emerge.
AB, as we’ll call him, is one of those. And like Ahmed, he too is a Muslim. As others were running from the gunfire, he was running towards it. Bullets whizzed past his ears. He waited, crouched down beside the stairs of the bridge, waiting for a lull in the firing, thinking a break would indicate the gunman was reloading his weapon.
