IPL 2026 player list – full squads of each team

Chennai Super Kings, who went into the auction with the second-largest purse of ₹43.40 crore, made Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma the joint-most expensive uncapped players in the IPL.

Prashant became the most expensive uncapped player in IPL after CSK bought him for ₹14.2 crore. Soon after, Kartik Sharma also joined him in the CSK squad at the same price.

Avesh Khan, who Lucknow Super Giants bagged for ₹10 crore for IPL 2023, was the previous most expensive uncapped player in the IPL.

Three-time champions KKR came into the auction with the largest purse of ₹64.30 crore and the least number of players in the squad at 12. However, they were the first team to complete the squad with 25 players.

Apart from Green, KKR also bagged another high-profile player in Sri Lanka’s Matheesha Pathirana for ₹18 crore.

For the IPL 2026 season, each franchise was allotted a total budget of ₹125 crore to build a squad of a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 25, with up to eight overseas players. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, with seven players, did not complete their overseas quota.

The 10 cricket teams filled a total of 77 slots at the IPL 2026 auction from a total of 369 cricketers.

Mumbai Indians came into the auction with a balance of just ₹2.75 crore but managed to bolster their squad with the experienced wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock at ₹1 crore.
