Spurs vs. Knicks prediction
CBS Sports:: Knicks giving the points
Sam Quinn writes: “We’re just betting on styles here. San Antonio allows the second-most mid-range shots in the NBA, and the sixth-highest mid-range field goal percentage. That sort of aggressive drop-coverage can be very problematic against Jalen Brunson, specifically. He loves walking into mid-range jumpers as bigs hang near the basket, and in a big game, he’s going to be willing to take and make as many of those shots as it takes. In a game this even, that little matchup advantage gives New York the slimmest of edges.”

Sportsbook Wire: Spurs on the money line
Nathan Beighle writes: “Despite having been on a torrid run, the Knicks haven’t performed well on the road this season. They are 4-6 on the road and 5-6 when including their neutral-court game in that record. New York is just 4-7 ATS in away games this season.
“San Antonio, on the other hand, has played 8 of its last 9 games either on the road or a neutral court, and it has gone 6-2 straight up and 5-3 ATS in those. The Spurs are 3-1 straight up and ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog as well.”
Fan Duel: Bet the under
Austan Kas writes: “We should be in for a treat tonight as the Knicks and Spurs meet up in a game with a high total (233.5) and tight spread (Knicks -2.5). While I’m expecting a fun clash, these teams may have a hard time getting to 234 points.

“The return of Victor Wembanyama is a huge part of why I side with the under. He has a massive impact on the Spurs’ defense. With Wemby off the floor, San Antonio is surrendering 119.1 points per 100 possessions. With Wemby on the court, the Spurs allow 107.0 points per 100 possessions. He’s the difference between the Spurs being an elite D and one of the league’s worst defenses.”
ESPN: Knicks have a 58.2% chance of winning
The site gives the Spurs a 41.8% chance of winning.
Action Network: Knicks on the moneyline
Dead President Picks writes: “We will continue to ride with the Knicks tonight. New York enters the matchup with plenty of momentum, playing its best basketball of the season after winning five straight games and nine of its last 10. While Victor Wembanyama will make his presence felt, I still expect him to play less than 25 minutes in this spot.”
