The Sydney Sixers look forward to bringing members, fans and the wider community together on Wednesday night for our first home match of KFC BBL|15 against the Adelaide Strikers at the SCG.
The Sydney Sixers are proud to create a welcoming and inclusive environment at our home matches and we are confident this an opportunity to safely bring joy to our community, following what has been a challenging week.
In collaboration with Venues New South Wales, New South Wales Police, Cricket Australia, and the New South Wales Government, additional measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of all attendees.
The Sydney Sixers extend our heartfelt condolences to everyone impacted by the tragic events in Bondi on Sunday including victims, their family, friends, emergency personnel and the Jewish community.
Prior to match tomorrow, a moment of silence will be observed, and players will wear black arm bands to honour the victims of this tragedy.
There will be an increased security and NSW Police presence at the venue. All patrons will be subject to bag checks and wanding upon entry, and we encourage everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to NSW Police, venue staff, or security personnel.
As a community we remain in mourning, and we hope that this match can bring some joy to the Eastern Suburbs as we come to terms with what has been a terrible week for our local area.
