PlayStation Plus January 2026 Free Games Lineup Takes Early Hit

There are some big changes coming to PlayStation Plus in January 2026, as if the first month after Christmas wasn’t hard enough for everybody as it is. Come on, Sony.
For those that might not know, PlayStation Plus is making a major change in January 2026 by beginning to filter PlayStation 4 games out of its Premium lineup of free titles. But that’s well-documented at this point. What you might not know is that the first batch of games leaving the PlayStation Plus library in January has been confirmed, and it makes the free games lineup for next month that little bit worse.
PlayStation Plus Extra is always adding and removing games on a monthly basis. That’s just the way it goes. But it’s always a shame when a game you had your eye on is confirmed to leave. Fortunately, we have something of an early warning system, thanks to a Reddit user who spotted three PlayStation Plus games have been added to the “Last Chance to Play” section on Japan’s PSN.
