2 Powerball players win big in Western Washington. Here’s where tickets were sold

Two Powerball tickets sold in Western Washington missed the jackpot but still won big, according to lottery officials.
Both Powerball tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in the drawing on Saturday, Dec. 13, according to a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery and the national Powerball website.
However, one of the Powerball players used a multiplier to double their winnings.
“Because the player added on Powerplay, which was 2x that night, their win was multiplied to $100,000,” the lottery spokesperson said.
Where were winning Powerball tickets sold in Washington?
The $50,000 ticket was purchased at Evergreen Food Store, 7306 Evergreen Way in Everett, the Washington’s Lottery spokesperson said.
Everett is roughly an hour-long drive from Bellingham.
The other ticket was bought at a QFC grocery store at 1009 Monroe Ave. in Enumclaw, according to the lottery spokesperson.
What were winning Powerball numbers?
The winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing were 1, 28, 31, 57 and 58 with a Powerball of 16.
No one took home the grand prize, but two lucky Powerball players in North Carolina and Pennsylvania each won $2 million, according to the national Powerball website.
Powerball players in California, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey and Virginia won $1 million apiece.

The next Powerball drawing is on Monday, Dec. 15, at 7:59 p.m.

As of Monday, the Powerball jackpot was estimated at $1.1 billion, with a cash value of $503.4 million.

The odds of winning the Powerball grand prize are one in 292,201,338, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.
