Should Buffalo Bills sign recently released Dolphins Pro Bowler defender?

The Miami Dolphins are officially eliminated from playoff contention after their lopsided 28-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night to cap off Week 15. Now with the postseason out of the equation, Miami will have several questions to answer from an organizational standpoint ahead of the offseason.
Even before the offseason begins, though, the Dolphins made the surprising decision to release edge rusher Matt Judon.
“The Dolphins are releasing veteran pass rusher Matt Judon, sources tell The Insiders,” Mike Garafolo reports. “Judon appeared in 13 games this season for Miami and could be an option for playoff teams looking for a veteran presence.”
The Bills are very familiar with Judon, as he spent three seasons with the New England Patriots, where he became one of the top edge rushers in the NFL. He was a Pro Bowler from 2019-22, and had 15.5 sacks in 2022. He was traded to the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, where he had 5.5 sacks. This season in Miami, he has yet to register a sack.
This should be a move that the Bills are all over. Having Judon as more of a rotational piece behind Joey Bosa, Greg Rousseau, and A.J. Epenesa would give them four legitimate guys who can stay fresh and get to the quarterback. It’s rare that a player of Judon’s caliber becomes available right before the postseason, and the Bills should jump at the opportunity.
