Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor is not taking their trip to Wolfsburg lightly with the German club also eyeing a top four finish to end the league phase.
“We are facing a really motivated team that are playing at home, and if they win the game they could finish in the top four.
“That’s enough motivation for them to prepare in the best way possible,” said Bompastor in her pre-match press conference.
Wolfsburg have won the Champions League twice before, as well as finishing runners-up on four occasions. They also ran out 4-0 winners the last time that the teams met in 2021.
She added: “Wolfsburg have been one of the most experienced teams in the women’s game. They’ve had a lot of success. We know coming here won’t be an easy game.”
