Netflix Strikes Latest Video Podcast Deal With Dave Portnoy’s Barstool Sports

Netflix is continuing to plunder the world of video podcasts.

The streamer has struck a deal with Barstool Sports, the company run by slightly controversial founder Dave Portnoy, to add three video podcasts to its service.

Pardon My Take, The Ryen Russillo Podcast, and Spittin Chiclets will air their video versions exclusively on Netflix in the U.S. in early 2026.

The pact includes all new episodes from the podcast lineup, as well as select library episodes from each show, while audio versions of each podcast will remain widely available.

It comes after Netflix struck similar deals with The Ringer and iHeartMedia.

Pardon My Take is a sports show hosted by Big Cat and PFT Commenter; The Ryen Russillo Show features sports analysis from the former Ringer host and Spittin’ Chiclets is an ice hockey show hosted by Ryan Whitney, Paul Bissonnette, and Rear Admiral.

Lauren Smith, Netflix VP of Content Licensing and Programming Strategy, said, “We’re thrilled to team up with Barstool Sports and bring their top video podcasts to Netflix. This partnership broadens how our members connect with Barstool’s leading sports voices and delivers exactly what our members crave: unfiltered commentary, sharp takes, and undeniable humor. We look forward to giving fans another exciting way to engage with the conversations they love on Netflix.”

Portnoy added, “We’re excited to partner with Netflix and hopefully bring new audiences to each platform.”

Barstool Sports is represented by UTA, which brokered the deal.
