Celtic’s defeat in the Premier Sports Cup final to St Mirren has caused plenty of debate across the country.
Pundits, ex-players and Celtic fans are now questioning the appointment of Wilfried Nancy by the club. And those who are not questioning the appointment, are certainly cross-examining his tactics.
Nancy has lost his first three games as Celtic manager becoming the first boss in the history of the club to do so.

And whilst everyone and their granny has something to say, Celtic’s social media activity has come into serious question since the Bhoys lost to St Mirren at Hampden on Sunday.

Celtic are, in general, normally pretty active on social media. Well, we say that but they are only really, really active when they are trying to sell supporters merchandise.
However, after a game, the club normally publishes the manager’s and the players’ thoughts to communicate to the fans the feelings inside the club.
But since announcing the Premier Sports Cup final result at 5:27pm on Sunday night, there has been nothing from the club.
That tweet got over 1m views so there is still an appetite from the Celtic fans to hear from the club despite their fractured relationship.
On Instagram there has been radio silence and on Celtic’s official YouTube channel, the only content from the game is Wilfried Nancy’s post-match interview. Not a peep from the players.

It’s been almost 48 hours since the defeat and Celtic’s silence is a damning indictment of the club being unable, or unwilling, to communicate with the fans after one of the most disappointing results in recent years.
Which is strange considering the Celtic board are all too quick to highlight their successes and ram it down the fans’ throats whenever they come up for any criticism.
What next for Celtic under Wilfried Nancy?
Well, Celtic’s fixtures just keep coming thick and fast for Nancy as a trip to Dundee United is up next.
Nancy must win this game if he has any hope of turning around the opinion of quite a sizeable number of Celtic supporters who want him sacked.
The Celtic boss needs to pick up three points to claw back the six-point deficit to Hearts. But will a win at Tannadice be enough to get the wolves off his back? Probably not at this stage.
