Best NBA Bets Today

Donovan Mitchell over 31.5 points (-111)

DraftKings, 4:00 PM CT

Kirien Sprecher: Mitchell has scored fewer than 20 points only four times this season, including last time out during an eight-point loss to Charlotte. Following the three previous times he failed to reach that threshold, Mitchell responded with 37, 42 and 43 points. Evan Mobley (calf) is out, and Darius Garland still isn’t himself following a lingering toe injury, so Mitchell will need to put on the Superman cape yet again. The Bulls are one of the worst defensive teams in the league, and Mitchell should feast in pick-and-roll situations, with Jarrett Allen creating space and Nikola Vucevic playing drop coverage.

Naz Reid over 2.5 made three-pointers (+106)

DraftKings, 4:10 PM CT

Kirien Sprecher: Anthony Edwards might be back following a two-game absence, but I expect Reid to stay hot. The backup big man has made multiple three-pointers in nine straight games, including at least a trio of makes six times during that stretch. The Grizzlies are in the bottom five in made three-pointers allowed per game.

Cleveland Cavaliers -5.5 (-108)

DraftKings, 4:15 PM CT

Kirien Sprecher: It’s no secret that the Cavaliers have struggled to replicate their breakout campaign last season, which ultimately fizzled out in the playoffs. However, they are still considered a top team in a depleted Eastern Conference, with the expectation that they’ll start to improve when they get healthy. It’s unclear when that’ll happen, as Evan Mobley and Max Strus remain out for an extended period, while Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen have struggled since returning to action. With that said, the Bulls have a propensity to allow opposing teams to play their best game of the season, and I expect Cleveland to take advantage. Chicago is 2-8 in their last 10 games after a hot start.
