Players Won’t Stop Asking Harrison Brunicke About Sidney Crosby At Canada’s World Junior Camp

Pittsburgh Penguins’ rookie defensive prospect Harrison Brunicke has gained some valuable experience at the NHL level this season as a 19-year-old. So, when he was lent to Team Canada for their World Junior camp, it would only have been natural for his young Canadian teammates to ask him plenty of questions about playing in the NHL.

But, it’s no surprise that the conversation always seems to end up focused on one thing.

In response to TSN’s Mark Masters – who asked what the biggest question is that teammates have about his NHL experience – Brunicke said that, for the most part, everyone else just wants to hear about his teammate and all-time NHL legend Sidney Crosby.

“A lot of guys are just asking about Sid, honestly,” Brunicke said. “You know, it’s every young Canadian’s dream of playing with him, playing against him, getting to meet him, whatever it is.

“So, yeah, a couple stories about Sid, for sure, and just about how it is and what the transition’s like and stuff like that.”

Do you think Brunicke will play a significant role for Team Canada at the World Junior Championship? Let us know below.
