Mokasa: We Have Shown What the Academy Can Offer, and I Look Forward to Continuing the Successes
Devin Mokasa, Manchester City player, praised the club’s commitment to developing young talents after the 2-0 victory over Brentford in the English League Cup quarter-finals, emphasizing the academy’s strength and its ability to produce stars.
Mokasa said: “Yes, I really enjoyed it, it was my first match at our home ground, and I just wanted to enjoy and secure the win, and that’s what happened.”
He continued: “It was a great night, I think it truly summarizes the club; although we attract the best players, we are also capable of producing players from within the academy.”
He added: “I think it was a great display tonight and showed what the academy can do.”
Mokasa went on to comment on his teammates’ performance: “Ryan Sherqi’s goal was amazing, and it was wonderful to see Charlie Gray after his first appearance with the first team, and I would like to give special praise to Abdelkader Khosanov for what he delivered.”
