Rudy Gobert Shares Photos Of First Daughter
Gobert shared the photos of himself holding his newborn wrapped in a blanket.
The All-Star wrote “Bienvenue princesse. Papa sera toujours là pour toi,” which translates to “Welcome princess. Dad will always be there for you.”
Gobert’s first child, Romeo, was born in May of 2024.
Julia Bonilla, who also hails from France, is the mother of the two children.
She and Gobert separated in May, a year after their son was born, while she was pregnant with their daughter.
“Grateful and honored that you chose us to welcome you to this world to experience what we call life,” Gobert wrote on Instagram after his son was born. “I make it my mission to love, protect and keep paving the way for you…you will write your own story, and I can’t wait to witness every step of it.”
Bonilla shared photos of her and Gobert’s son and her pregnancy on Saturday before their daughter’s birth.
The French center is averaging 11.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while blocking 1.4 shots per game, and shooting a league-leading .745 from the floor.
The Timberwolves have a record of 17-9, good for sixth place in the West.
Gobert’s time with the Utah Jazz
Gobert was originally selected by the Denver Nuggets with the 27th pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, but was traded to the Jazz for second-round pick Erick Green and cash.
The Jazz traded Gobert to the Timberwolves in the summer of 2022 for four first-round draft picks, a first-round pick swap, Patrick Beverley, Malik Beasley, Leandro Bolmaro, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Walker Kessler.
After nine seasons with the Jazz, Gobert ranked in the top 10 among franchise players in games played, minutes played, field goals, free throws, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, total rebounds, blocked shots, points, field goal percentage, rebounds per game, blocks per game, and PER.
