Giddey passes Knicks legend as Bulls find form

Four Aussies went head-to-head in the NBA as Josh Giddey and Jock Landale continue career-years

Josh Giddey has recorded his fifth triple-double of the season as he and the Chicago Bulls snapped a run of poor form in a dominant win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It’s Giddey’s 24th triple-double of his career, moving him into outright 23rd overall on the list of the most NBA triple doubles, passing New York Knicks legend Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier who had 23.

The Melbourne Tigers product, who is in just his fifth season in the NBA, moves within one triple-double of another legend in former Portland Trail Blazer and Houston Rocket Clyde Drexler in 22nd spot with 25 triple-doubles.

Giddey’s performance was much-needed for the Bulls after Chicago had been on an almighty struggle since their 5-0 start to the season.

It shows the 23-year-old is the true leader of this season’s Bulls, especially after signing a four-year USD $100m extension during the offseason, and takes his averages to a career-best 20.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game.

Meanwhile, fellow Aussie Tyrese Proctor and the Cavaliers continued their inconsistent start to the season, while Jock Landale can do no wrong for the Memphis Grizzlies.
