ARC Raiders: How To Do Locked Gate

The largest addition to ARC Raiders in its December update was the Cold Snap map condition, which puts a blanket of snow on the game’s four outdoor maps, but it also quietly brought the Locked Gate variant of Blue Gate. According to the event’s in-game description, the Blue Gate has been put into emergency shutdown by clandestine operators. Raiders must therefore collect four Security Codes to override the lockdown.

Like other major map conditions, Locked Gate is best done with a full trio or by working with other players in the lobby, both for safety and logistical reasons. Blue Gate has plenty of ARC enemies patrolling, and finding all four key cards requires traveling not insignificant distances across the map. While Locked Gate is ultimately pretty straightforward, ARC Raiders offers practically no direction for how to complete the puzzle.

Where To Find The Four Locked Gate Security Code Key Cards

To open the Locked Gate, you need to collect four Security Codes scattered throughout the map. These are technically Key items, but they do not have a rarity, and their icons look more like slips of paper, rather than the key cards that most keys appear as. You must find the four Security Codes in the following locations:

  • Ancient Fort
  • Pilgrim’s Peak
  • Raider’s Refuge
  • Reinforced Reception

All four of these are named and labeled locations on Blue Gate’s in-game map. Raider’s Refuge, Reinforced Reception, and Pilgrim’s Peak are along the northern half of Blue Gate, while Ancient Fort is the farthest south point of interest. The image below has all four locations circled in red.

There are no set spawn points for the Security Codes; you will have to search containers throughout each location until you find them. They operate like any other piece of loot in ARC Raiders, meaning if someone picks one up, another player won’t be able to find it. There is only one instance of each key during a Locked Gate raid.

Where To Use The Locked Gate Security Codes

All four Security Codes must be taken to the Gate Control Room, which is shown in a green box on the map above. The Gate Control Room is near the center of the map in the Warehouse Complex. Inside, there are four terminals where each key is used. When all four Security Codes have been put in their terminals, the Blue Gate (labeled Outer Gates on the map) will open.

Inside the Locked Gate appears to be no different than it is on a normal Blue Gate raid, but the loot seems to be generally better than average. A Locked Gate raid is 10 minutes longer than standard – 40 minutes total – and you’ll likely need either planned or serendipitous cooperation in order to get all four keys to the Gate Control Room. From there, it will likely be a mad dash through the Outer Gates to loot before other ARC Raiders players can pick it clean.
