Timothee Chalamet Calls Knicks’ 2025 NBA Playoff Run ‘The Most Fun Period of My Life’

Timothée Chalamet has already had a full career in acting that has led to Oscar nominations and countless other awards, but some of the best memories of his life have nothing to do with the big screen.
Instead, those memories came on the hardwood.
On Carmelo Anthony’s podcast, 7PM in Brooklyn, a Wave original, Chalamet called the New York Knicks’ 2025 NBA playoff run the “most fun period” of his life.
“I had to be locked in, man. That Knicks run last year, I think that was the most fun period of my life,” Chalamet said (14-minute mark). “Those four months, I’m not even kidding. Just the Garden being electric — I met Melo briefly courtside. Seeing Stephon Marbury there, I love Stephon, he’s got a soft spot in my heart. And even though the team didn’t go to the heights they wanted, Stephon is New York the way Sebastian Telfair is New York. Shout out Sebastian Telfair…Seeing all the legends there — J.R., and Brunson, and K.A.T. — and I feel like Brunson is sort of the perfect anti-superstar for New York.”
The energy at Madison Square Garden was certainly electric as the Knicks carved their way to the Eastern Conference Finals, and Chalamet became a courtside star throughout the playoff run.
New York’s run to the conference finals marked its first since the 1999-2000 season, but the Knicks are looking to go further this year. With Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns leading the way, an NBA Finals appearance doesn’t seem out of the question.
